60th Birthday Commission

This home is near and dear to my heart. It belongs to my lovely aunt who lives in a smaller neighborhood outside of London. She kindly puts up with my Dad, sister and I whenever we visit, and lets us stay there in the midst of her busy work week. My cousins commissioned it for her 60th birthday present, and boy was it fun to draw!

Happy 2016!

Here's a couple pieces I finished right around the holidays. Happy 2016 everybody!
The white house is the third piece I've done for a wonderful gal. This is her grandparents' home!

It was fun to work on this unique house in Philly that has a side entrance instead of one in the front. Gotta love those bricks : )!

House in Germany!

This fun commission was for a gal who's parents reside in this beautiful home in Germany. I love getting a chance to work on portraits with the whole shebang of landscaping and scenery. I've been mixing more acrylic paint into my portraits along with the watercolor pigments to create a dimensional feel.

Commission for Matt F.

Simple row home drawn for resident of S. 19th Street in Philadelphia! Sometimes houses that have less going on in the front can be more relaxing to draw.

Ginger's house on Mildred Street

I absolutely love this home I finished a few weeks ago. I used to nanny on this street and the gal that commissioned the piece lived on the same block and had a wonderful family and home. She moved out of the city, but wanted to commemorate her time on the quaint little block with a portrait!

Fall/Winter 2014 Commissions

What can I say, I am so guilty of not keeping up with these posts regularly. But luckily, I still get to work on these portraits fairly regularly. Here are jobs from fall to winter of last year. As usual, lots of brick! I believe all of these properties are in the greater Philadelphia area. Until next time!

Spring/Summer Update

Wow! It's been awhile. Time really flies when you end up getting two jobs and trying to keep up with art stuff too. I have still been doing commissions steadily through the madness though! Here are some pieces I've worked on since March. Feel free to click on any of the photos to see a larger view!

Lombard Street House for Lisa F.

This portrait was a birthday gift for the woman who owns the house.
I can see why one would take pride in this gorgeous brick row home.
It was a little tricky because my reference pictures were shots from
google map street view!

7xx Montrose Street, Philadelphia.

I've recently had the pleasure of working with the Realtor I worked with so many times in the past again! He really helped me get my foot in the door with the row home portraits, and I am so grateful for his business! This little home in Bella Vista just sold, and this portrait was the closing gift.

**Holiday Commissions**

Happy 2014 everyone! Here are some commissions that I was waiting to post until after Christmas. Lots of red brick going on, I wonder how many hours this past year I clocked in drawing individual bricks?!
My first 3/4 view portrait. Lots of fun!
Lovely red brick row home in Center City Philadelphia.
My first Missoula house portrait. Love the little kitty and dog. I always like drawing stained glass windows, they add such a nice little touch to houses.

Mt. Airy Home for Caroline W.

I've been saving this commission for the past six months, and have finally completed it! I went to middle school in Mt. Airy and absolutely love some of the giant old houses there. This "twin" house was built in 1897, and still maintains its Victorian charm. The porch looks like a lovely place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee!

Christmas Commissions

For the next month, I will have to take a little break from posting as most of the commissions are Christmas gifts for loved ones, and I do not want to ruin the surprise for anyone. In the meantime check out more of my work featured in posts below. Also, I have a fresh round of Philadelphia Row Home prints available on my Etsy page.
I am still taking commissions for the Holidays, so feel free to email me with any inquiries.

Rittenhouse home for Jess B.

This past summer, I walked around all the neighborhoods I love in Philly and dropped some promotional materials for my portraits in mail slots of houses I adored. Subsequently, I was contacted by one very nice lady, and got to draw this gorgeous home. The roof looks like a little oasis in the middle of the city!

Some details below..
