18th and Catharine

The nice woman who commissioned me to do this piece just sold this skinny little charmer, and will miss it dearly! She and her husband moved into a larger house in the suburbs which I hope to also draw!

Below is a detail of the front door and window.

294 Edgewater St.

This piece was commissioned by my friend Greg Pizzoli for his talented girlfriend Kay Healy. I was waiting to post this until Christmas time but it turned out that he ended up giving the picture to her earlier. Kay's mother sold the house a few years ago, and Greg thought this would be a great gift since this is where she grew up.

Just Married

This house was fun to work on because of all the personal details. The couple just got married and bought a house in Philly, which they plan to fix up a bit and truly make their home. The portrait was to represent all of that, and I believe the client plans to use the house drawing as the image on their marriage announcement. Congrats!

Below are some little detail pictures with the dog
(who happens to always look sad), blocks saying just married that the
client requested, and one of the kitties. They also didn't have any plants yet
but I added a window box and a potted bush to pull it together.

**TESTIMONIAL FROM THE CLIENT**

My husband and I have recently gotten married and instead of taking a honeymoon we decided to buy a house. Unlike most newlyweds we don't have any pictures of us on a beach resort. Instead we wanted to always have an image that celebrated our marriage and our first home. Adrienne did a beautiful and thoughtful job on the portrait of our new house. Adding so much personality to our pets faces and defining their idiosyncrasies. She made the image of our home come to life by personalizing every detail. We're so thrilled to have something so lovely in our house to share with our friends and family. And to have a reminder of where we started our lives together.

The Birdhouse

I waited until this beautiful Saturday to post this picture, because it is a wedding gift. This row home is actually located in Harrisburg! This was the first home of the newlyweds. In the windows are their handsome pups Mabel and Riot. They called the home "The Birdhouse," which they also named their small wedding video/film company.

The Ultimate "House Portrait"

This is probably the biggest project I have worked on to date. The building is located at 1241 Carpenter Street, where my studio is. The owner of the building wanted a large drawing of the factory as it would have looked when it was first built in the late 1800's. Of course it is hard to find any photos that are that old, but I went and did some fun research with the Philadelphia Library Company. I found some pictures of the building that were taken around 1917. It was awesome to see it when it was still relatively new. The building was used to manufacture belts for factories, it was called "Main Belting Company." The original drawing is 22"x 36" and will be displayed in the entryway of the building.

Below is a little detail of all the windows I had to draw, phew!

Here's one of the reference photos I used, it was probably drawn with graphite.

Below is the actual building, which now has a mural on the front.

7XX S.19th Street.

This portrait is a birthday present for a client's wife! I love the patio and the front garden space of this house, which is usually so hard to find in the city!
